The 42-movement massage

Professional know-how for a legendary signature

Developed by Dr Nadia Payot, this unique massage is inspired by the field of dance. Designed as choreography, it contains precise and technical gestures that are both harmonious and rhythmic.
Further still, it truly provides therapeutic benefits.

By activating all the physiological systems (lymphatic, vascular, muscular, respiratory, and cutaneous), it simultaneously offers absolute, deep, and lasting well-being as well as visible beauty results.
This very holistic care philosophy helps meet the expectations of modern women, who are increasingly active and demanding.

PAYOT, A women's history

The first female doctor of her generation in 1913, Nadia Payot was a generous woman who asserted her desire very early on to put her knowledge and medical expertise to work for women's beauty.

Through observing star dancer Anna Pavlova, Nadia Payot introduced her customers to facial exercise with active and preventive treatment. In 1950, this technique led to the 42-movement technique, a massage in the form of passive exercise with the objective of making muscles reactive, flexible, and elastic.

In 1927, an avant-garde beauty product brand, PAYOT was inspired by plant fragrances and knowledge from the herbalist's shop. It declared its difference and boldness by offering its creams in cases with rounded shapes inspired by the female body. In 1937, PAYOT was one of the first brands to open a spa in France. Beauty professionals—aestheticians—then became the brand’s prescribers.

Nadia Payot passed away in 1966, leaving a legacy of a growing brand, a strong taste for innovation and boldness, and expert gestures transmitted to every woman.

Dermo-sensorial characteristics, The Laboratoires PAYOT commitment

The PAYOT Research & Development Centre, which brings together dermatologists, pharmacists, chemists, and drug form specialists, has now created a true Dermo-Cosmetics centre. In continuous contact with experts in biology, biochemistry, biotechnologies, bioengineering, and clinical research, it is an enthusiastic team of true experts in their fields. Together, they decipher the secrets of the skin and mysteries of the cells to develop treatments that respond to real beauty issues. Following a quality charter and controls, each development stage is based on strong ethics that inspire and dictate our commitments:

Test tube

Effectiveness Commitment

The claims listed on the treatments are always proven through clinical or effectiveness tests conducted by dermatologists to guarantee effectiveness in accordance with the indications.

Microscope

Tolerance Commitment

All treatments are formulated with ingredients rigorously selected through toxicological assessment and tested under usage conditions to guarantee the widest tolerance.

Microscope

Attractiveness Commitment

All treatments are developed with a concern for sensorial characteristics and pleasure of use: the comfort of carefully developed textures and subtle doses of very feminine scents are used to offer the best-quality selective care products.

New beauty missions For PAYOT aestheticians

In the institute, following a medical or surgical operation

A cosmetic procedure, removal of a beauty spot, treatment after breast cancer… Many women will undergo surgeries during their lives that lead to scars that are often not monitored.

Our Aesthetician Ambassadors put the PAYOT dermatological expertise and their know-how to work for these women in institutes with highly specific protocols such as Cicaexpert.

In hospital oncology centres

Focused and effective chemotherapy often has increasingly aggressive side-effects, especially for the skin.

By proposing to assist socio-aestheticians working in hospital oncology centres, PAYOT is dedicated to helping patients in pain. In fact, PAYOT makes all of its professional know-how available to them through the therapeutic properties of the 42-movement massage, together with treatment protocols specially adapted to treat these cutaneous side effects. The holistic beauty approach (emotional care and the effectiveness of our cosmetic products) that characterises our treatment philosophy is an invitation to release, a sensorial experience, and restored self-esteem. It acts together with or following medicinal treatments to optimise their results.
